BTW, answer me this, why do we have a system that has come to absolutely rely on insurance to cover costs? There should be enough doctors and care providers to have prices at the lowest level possible so that we can afford health care out of pocket. But we have such a huge deficit in personnel/infrastructure in the sector that this is not possible.
In short, I believe that our government has gone about fixing this the wrong way. Won't happen any time soon either.

Good points. It also begs the question why do I have to pay for others healthcare? How is this such an intrinsic value? Should I have to also pay for other people's food and shelter too? Aren't these much more intrinsic than health care?
The analogy to me is like a car with transmission problems being fixed with 22's and a new paint job, then telling the owner it's not really his and will be given to others to use, but he will have to pay for these additions while the new users pay nothing.
