I bought another buggy, MBX-6 :-) - 05.05.2010, 11:18 AM

I loved converting and driving my tekno 8ight and caster EX-1 so much I decided I need another project to work on. I found a very nice MBX-6 with alu front tower and upper arm mount, and ti-ni screw set.

Since I already have an amazing tekno conversion, I want another top-setup to be able to try different things. So the plans for the mugen is mikes mount, brake spacer, f&r mek brakes, and SLIPPERENTIAL

I have a caster buggy, which is based on the MBX-5 I believe, so I borrowed the motor mount and tekno tray from it. The center diff-mount is identical, so its a direct bolt-on. I have yet to recieve my second medusa 36-60-1300kv, so I have installed a test setup consisting of a MMPro and a novak HV 6,5 that may be partly demagged, and a 3s 5000mah battery.

I hope this setup will let my try the buggy at least, while I order and wait for the medusa, monster-mount, brake spacer and slipperential. I hope the medusa will run off the MMPro on 6s, I have ordered a novak cap and will run the fan off the reciever to keep it on full-time. I am going to use the 1600kv medusa in the mugen since it has more gearing options without a clutch.

I could use MMP and 1300kv if the 1600kv is too much, or run 1600kv and kontronik 55-10-32 esc. Some day I will use the 1300kv on 8s, but I cant afford another battery AND the slipp-diff all at once.

Here are conversion pics:
