The KD36-74-1900kV (XL) Motor I have is in my Dad's E-Revo powered by an eZRun 80A ESC and a pair of Zippy Flightmax 30C 4S 2650mAh LiPo Batteries wired in parallel for a total of 4S-14.8V @ 5300mAh & 159A. The motor has a Turnigy Heatsink & Fan installed on it as well.
I have the truck geared for 38mph, which my Dad thinks is perfect for him, and there has never been a single problem with the truck or electronics. He drives hard and fast just like me, and we commonly run 5 or 6 charges through the trucks without many breaks.
The truck runs and performs great, so the KD motors can't be
that bad. I also run the same setup in a 1/8 buggy, except the motor is a KD36-74-2800kV (XL), and it has performed flawlessly as well.
