I raced my xt8 for the first time this past weekend. This was also my first time racing outdoors on dirt. I learned a lot of things and the most important thing is to bring lots and lots and lots of sunscreen!
The truck worked well, but I was unable to complete my race. I forgot to locktite the set screw on my pinion and couldn’t figure it out on time. Yah, I know…. I didn’t break anything major on the truck, but my power supply took a dump. It made a hissing noise, snap, crackle, pop, and a little puff of smoke! I just about fell out of my chair! I was thinking about getting a Bulldog 30 or 45 amp power supply as a replacement. Does anyone have a suggestion? I also need some new rear shock boots, mine ripped in half. The XRAY ones are way too short. What are people using?
