I think it's pretty neat, but the parts support thing is definitely an issue. I had looked at converting one of the nitro ones, but the parts support kind of turned me off, and wasn't sure how the chain drive would work out.
I think it would be a fun vehicle to play around with. Kind of like that Redcat Groundpounder one of the other members has. Not really an extreme basher, but if you like the solid axle design and how they perform then it doesn't matter. People tend to say "well there are better things out there" but the only thing that matters is what you like. Not every vehicle has to be the best or most capable, it just has to be a project you are interested in and enjoy.
I was a bit disappointed looking at the steering assembly and a few other turnbuckles on the vehicle, they look pretty flimsy like skinny threaded rod. Probably need to get some real turnbuckles/links like lunsford for the steering. Kyosho seems notorious for that, even using a piece of bent wire in a 1/8 buggy!?!?
