Im hoping its better than his last one- to quote an indusrty insider whom works for oil exploration companies:
Quote:
HAHAHA!
Obama does it again!
After a phone-call to the British Prime Minister in which Obama denied that he was endorsing "Anti British sentiment" with his comments about the BP oil spill, he's gone and compared the event to the f**king 9/11 attacks.
Now, to be fair, I do understand what he's really saying but the guy REALLY needs to to get himself a better speech writer.
He's either utterly ignorant of the offence that comments like that cause or he IS actually trying to promote anti-British sentiment in the USA.
I'm sure if British people, at the time, had compared the Piper Alpha disaster (where 170 people died on an oil rig run by an American company) to a terrorist attack lots of people in the USA might have taken offence.
Instead, we just got on with sorting out the problem without making a big political fuss.

What he said^.
Also worth remebering that "BP owns 65% of the Gulf of Mexico oil well that ruptured on April 20, while Anadarko owns 25%. Transocean owned the rig that sank after the well blowout." Blaming this all on
Beyond Petroleum ( British Petroleum hasnt existed for years ) is a bit naive...
