Try not to land jumps while on power. Chassis flex alone wouldn't ruin pinions, but if you land while on power and the chassis flexes a bit, the teeth will get eaten up. That's my guess anyways.
AFAIK, Mike's "Extra Hard" pinions are the hardest you'll find that wont just shatter...
