I found out that if I take my shoes off, I run a hell of a lot faster (proven fact) and as long as I dont smile, Im damn near invisible in the dark..
If we were running from the police i would have a lot better chance than you at hiding as there are more period's of dark, then there are of white out blizzards(the only condition in which you disappear)
