I'm using a Neu 1512 1850kv on 4S lipo. Traktion is very smooth and good! It's more than a slipper imo. It feels like a nitro clutch that is engaging with the 0.8mm springs, but you can still brake with it. I like 0.8mm on large tracks. On very small tracks I like 0.9mm more.
1.0mm delivers almost no slip. Just a little bit if your hard on the throttle, but it feels almost direct drive. I haven't tried 1.1mm but I guess it will feel like direct drive but with drivetrain protection. I like a bit of slip tho...
I was running 7-7-5 in the diffs last weekend on a tight dirt 1/10 track and it was going pretty good. I'm trying 10-10-5 next time. 20-7-5 is on my list too to try.
I know it sounds like a weird setup, but I liked 7-7-5 much better than 5-7-2 in my Losi. You need to drive that thing off the power and as soon as you release the throttle too much the rear end oversteers. 7-7-5 was easier to drive, more consitent and more stable imo. I'm still new to the mugen and still trying out things, but I like the car very much! It's begging to be raced hard around the track.
