If you can hold your finger to it without discomfort, you are well within the "normal" range.
If your finger sizzles, and you scream and yell and blisters appear on your fingers, then you are probably running it a little too hard.
Seriously, the motor is fine to temperatures that would cause you a lot of discomfort... The main magnets in the 2200 motor (the HPI flux is based on the 2200) are good to 170C-180C, which is about a 120-140C case temp. The windings are also rated to 180C, and the main wires are rated to 300C.
So no worries at all.
