For the 5T conversions, best thing you can do is put the batteries inside the TVPs.
Yes the DB-17 has a 17" wheelbase, the 5Ts have a 22.4", but with the standard (or even using the middle position) position for the Flux battery boxes being in the rear, it acts like a Flux (or extended Flux) with all the weight in the rear. The DB-X chassis has the tranny/motor up front, so that helps put the weight towards the front to keep the wheelies down. From the pics he's running batteries inside the TVPs at the rear, which helps with his weight distribution.
