Seriously, the motor is fine to temperatures that would cause you a lot of discomfort... The main magnets in the 2200 motor (the HPI flux is based on the 2200) are good to 170C-180C, which is about a 120-140C case temp. The windings are also rated to 180C, and the main wires are rated to 300C.

So no worries at all.

Then, I am sorry, but why Castle team recommand to keep the temp below 170°F for the motor if it can handle easily more than 200°F ??? Because running the motor at thoses temps mean that it's pushing too hard the Mamba ESC ??? Or it's for the black plastic wires maintainer ?? Or another thing that can melt internaly ?
