I was also thinking about making my own custom chassis braces.Something like FLM but a bit longer to lenghten my maxx by 40mm.
I already have an 3908 E maxx with bigbores, CVDs, two speed conversion set and new revo 3.3 rims with offset.
I am still waiting for two 3S 6000 mah lipos and charger!

BTW. Whos Mike? Everybody's talking about him but I dont understand. Link to his store or something?
