I think it will run great.
Just starting that exact project now. Only Im using a Novak HV 7.5 instead. Got it for $65 on the novak site. With Mikes conversion kit and 3s Hyperion 6500 pack. Shooting for a sub 6lb 1/8 buggy for racing indoors this winter.
