I think it's the military culture that did it for me since I never had irregular sleep pattern until I started standing watches down in the engineroom. It doesn't healp either when almost 75% of my career was spent onboard ships. I exercise almost daily and eat healthy and don't drink or smoke so I don't think it's my lifestyle.
The company from Hawaii sends my supply of filters and hoses every couple of months. I'm glad I don't have to spend a penny on it.
According to a recent study, there was a significant increase of sleep apnea cases in the military during the past 10 years. There are now roughly 20K sailors diagnosed with it compared to about 9K ten years ago.
