Seriously though? Looking at what could really cause such a phenomenon is pretty weird don't you think? My first thought was a Goverment cover up, which could either be some kind of chemical poison release, or some new virus that they don't wnat teh general population to know about. Or maybe testing of some new Gov doomsday weapon from outer space, like a lazer beam satelite system. We have seen such technological breakthroughs in movies for a few years now so maybe they are getting closer to finalizing such a tool by testing it on ground targets. Like previously stated we may never really know what it was for sure.
