Also the Stampede, or any other Traxxas vehicle with Traxxas esc, will have a training mode that cuts power to 50%. I'm not so sure you want to hand the remote to a 10 year old first timer for a vehicle that does 40MPH. Let them get the hang of it in trainer mode then set it for full power
