crusey, I've been thinking about the temps you have seen. The only thing I can come up with is that the 2650 has more surface area to disapate heat. With 2 motors of equal efficiency, the motor with the most surface area should run cooler. But with the 1415 having the bigger rotor, it should be running more efficient at higher wattage.
I guess it's also possible that Castle had to lower the quality of the 1415, to get it in the price range they were shooting for, so maybe it is not as efficient.

The 1415 has a smaller diameter rotor than the 1515. Pdel said it so himself..
So the larger diameter can 2650 will be able to disapate more heat, and will have a great output potential.
TBH I bet they are pretty close in overall power output. I am thinking the lower gearing is to help out the MMpro, as it will not handle as much load aa a MMM can.
I will pick up a 1415, when they get 5mm rotors. I have broken too many 1/8 shaft motors, in heavier vehicles.
