The rubber smell does not permiate anything, it actually goes quickly. All stoves have a overhead fan and it takes care of it. I've ben baking tires for years and the wife just found out recently because she caught me redhanded. She had no problem because it never left behind a smell or mess. Only thing to clean up is a piece of tinfoil from the cookie sheet.
