wow, that thing has a bunch more kick than my EDF-powered projects. Buggy chassis much lighter than monster truck.
how do you like the handling with all that weight behind its rear axle? my TT-01 handles like crap with its fan hanging behind its ass
Even if it handles badly though, there's nothing like building something unconventional and taking a break from the norm.
A 1717 on 6s is 35k rpm, quite a way out of the efficiency range of a direct drive propeller (the air version is a heli motor, after all). My EDF setups have smaller blades and lower Kv motors, which is why I can crank them to 26k rpm and still have them thrust well.
