Figured I would give an update on my experience with the e-cigs.
When I first got one almost a year ago I went about 3 weeks without having a real cig. Then I got a little complacent and I was going back and forth using both for about 6 months. Still usually had a pack of real smokes but maybe only had 1-3 a day which was a big improvement over the 10 or more per day before the e-cig.
In the past 3 months I decided to try going back to only the e-cig and so far it has been great. Haven't smoked any real cigs at all. Right now I'm at the 18mg strength, and my plan is to wean down the strength over the next 3 months or so until I get down to the lowest strength or even the no-nicotine liquid.
All in all my personal experience has been very good with the e-cig and it has helped me first reduce, then stop my use of real cigs. I still don't recommend them to people (nor do I recommend against them), I just feel it's the persons own decision to do the research and determine what is best. But I do share my experiences with others and tell them how it has been positive for me. I will update this again in a few months, and hopefully will have more good news then!
