It's also important to make sure your antenna wire doesn't touch metal, graphite, or carbon fiber. It should only touch plastic, from the receiver to the antenna tube.
boss 302 is correct in that you want to keep electronic components away from each other to avoid interference. When space requirements force you to put things close together, it may turn into a matter of trial and error to find out what placement works for the situation.
