I think the kv test will give the results assuming a 2-pole motor, so you have to divide by 2 to get the value for a 4-pole.

EDIT: Another option would be to use an EagleTree datalogger with the brushless motor RPM sensor. Briefly bench test the motor going to full throttle momentarily (no load on the motor). Then divide max RPM recorded by the voltage at max RPM and you'll get the kv.
