Reality -

We all have our own reality to deal with. Budgets are tight all over, and we have to find a way to live within those limits. Repairing some items is just simple economics, and for some it just does not make sense to spend money to fix a broken tool that is a piece of crap to begin with. With the options available to you your just going to have to find a way to come up with the funds for a new drill period. Even if you have to wait.
In comparison we have to find a way to come up with enough money to purcahse two brand new Pro Mac-books for our boys to be able to attend the international high school (9th grade) next year (Sept/2011) where they are presently attending middle school (8th grade). The cheapest and safest purchase for us will cost about $1600 each, and $3200 for both laptops. And this is after the US Gov is paying over $16K per child for them to attend the school in the first place. We already have five laptops in our household, but none of them are Mac's which is a requirement for this high school. Yet we will find a way to acqure them no matter what. I am sure you can find a way to justify $100 purchase for a new drill setup. Sell some other stuff, or get a part time job for a month and make some extra cash. I am presently awaiting some job openings within our community so I can begin working and making some extra income for our family. Where there is a will, there is a way.
