Sorry to hear that, but at least you were able to get her in time.

I have a story about my little dog, he's 13 years old now.

When he was about three I was at my parents working on their computer. The dogs were all in the back doing what dogs do. My folks have a pool, and in the winter it gets a cover put on it. Well their big dog started howling and yiping, alot, but he always sorta did that.

This went on for a while when finally I went out to see WTF was going on. My little dog got on the pool cover, the cover slipped of and started filling with water and going into the pool. This was November and the water was ice cold, by the time I got to him he was under with one paw barely trying to swim. His gums were grey and he was in hypthermia so it was a mad dash. Scooped him out, ran as fast as I could to the car, heater on full and smokin down to the emergency vet which thankfully under ten miles away. I was freaked out for a long time after that and now the poll is absolutely inaccessable by any of the dogs.

Funny thing is now he loves to swim, but only when an adult is around.
