I know for a fact that the XERUN 150A (maybe the 80A version too) sensored ESC has a motor temp monitoring feature but according to Hobbywing only works with their new line of XERUN 1/8th sensored motors. Not sure on the temp they shut off/slow down or what ever they do when the motor temps go up. Not willing to thermal my equipment to find out. Anyway it would be cool if Castle had a feature like that but the problem I see is the temp sensors (or waht ever they are called????) might not be universal. At least not according to Hobbywing which say it only works with their motors. Not sure if it is a marketing ploy just to buy their motors or not. Hopefully Castle have thought about this. Maybe MMP has the capability and soon they will have their own line of sensored motors (at least the 1/10th motors) that could tell the ESC at what temp they are at. Would be pretty useful me thinks.
