Since 6v servos are meant to run off 5 NiMH rx packs (for those nitro guys), and a 5 cell NiXX pack can be around 6.5v (1.3v/cell) for a while before the voltage settles to the nominal 1.2v/cell, you could get away with setting a BEC voltage of around that and be fine.
