Making an e-mount that bolted onto the nitro engine mounts would make things alot less complicated. But it would also raise the motor up quite a bit more than other more traditional e-conversion mounts. I'm pretty sure a 15xx motor is bigger in diameter than a big block nitro motor and would never sit between the mounts like the nitro. Not that this is a concern for everyone, especially budget minded folk.

That's the Fine Design solution to motor mounting. Problem is you need different diameter clamps for different diameter motors. Not always a problem, but it can be, especially if you're looking for a bolt on (no dremel) solution to every application. Which seems to be what the OP was suggesting.
