Killa is right the 2028 will not fit, its too long and too fat (thats what she said right?) About the largest diameter motor that will fit into the stock XB-E is the CC1717. So basically about 48mm diameter and 100mm in length is about all you can squeeze into the stock setup. There is a guy that makes aftermarket accessories for the XB-E, he has a motor mount that will allow the 5692 to be dropped it. It is a bit pricey, but so far mine is holding up fine with the delrin Spur.
I have some video of the XB-E with CC1717, stock batteries (which could handle the amp load just fine but were too low MAH to get a decent runtime) on 6s and the stock ESC. Shot on my phone so the quality isn't the greatest. I was doing to recording and driving, so my driving or the action wasn't the best.

Kershaw Designs makes a mount for the 2028 for the XB-E and even sells rollers with the mount installed. Only reason I asked is because I have experience with a 2028 in my Baja 5t...It hauls.... 55mph and wheelies anytime you want em! Still curious if you think the drive line will survive the 2028. Thanks. I just re-read your "too fat" comment....that is funny stuff! haha.
