Bleh, the current models on sale are indeed very robust generally- early tekin rx8 motors had rotor issues upon release but that has been fixed now, extremely rare to see any rotor failures from either brand. It's not like the olden days of feigaos with their crappy rotors and poor temps, and novak hvmaxx motors with their weedy rotor and 1/8" shafts- the motors from big brands these days are very dependable really, but the rare occasional failure still happens no matter what- good warranty backup is provided in either case so take your pick really.

If you have the Rx8 esc, might as well take advantage of the sensored option and get a tekin motor to match I suppose..
