My D8/Ve8/? buggy, hands, you name it. - 12.04.2011, 07:44 PM

I recently bought a NIP D8 for under half price, and I am very open to using several methods/kits to convert it to BL. I first looked at the HHH chassi, RC-M D8 kit, tekno v4, and couldn't decide. I started the build on the D8 chassi. I found and bought a parts lot w. Ve8 chassi, motormount, and center diff assembly. I figured it would be nice to have the Ve8 option, even though I may not use it.

I know the HHH chassi will cost a lot, and I have no pairs of 2 2s which doesn't help. The tekno v4 kit looks much better than the v3, and I like mech brakes just fine. The RC-M kit looks good too, and the price is better. I could use a slipperential I need to water my money tree....

Now I just installed all but the rear clip of the buggy onto the Ve8 chassi. I think I will use it until I can decide which kit to buy. I am using a flux tork 2650kv, also half price NIP

I had a CC/neu 2650kv in my old caster buggy, my first 1/8 scale buggy. I remember it was very fast and a bit hot on 2x2s, now I will try a high 40C ++ 3s hardcase. Maybe the gens ace, it seems good for the money. And it fits the battery tray of the Ve8... I also have a neu 1509 2400kv I`m going to try on 3/4s. I used a neu front motor cover to keep the motor shaft out of the battery tray, and avoid having to cut it. Esc will be MMPro

I will try to take some pics, if I can only get this old camera of mine to work
