Is it really an SQL issue? -
12.07.2011, 05:04 PM
Guys, for some reason I'm feeling a bit skeptical about what Robin has told Jerry. Let's take this fomr an I.T. guys, perspecitve....
If I EVER make a change in my SQL databases or any scripts I have a full backup of my system first.
I believe it was someone named "Hippie" who helped him out the last few times his site went down. I even offered help, I happen to know SQL, I work with it every day. Websites as well.
Even if he didn't have a recent backup, he could backup what he had now, rename it, and then restore from his most recent backup and be online in a short amount of time...
I really don't understand the issue if it's an SQL problem. And if it's Vbulletin, it does an automated backup on it's very own, part of the package when it is installed and configured......
I do hope it's something along Robin's issue and I just don't know, something about the info isin't adding up... Or Robin hasn't done any backups for a long time. I would have thought he learned that lesson long ago.
Hey guys!!!! Glad to see your all here!!!!!!
