Not only that, but there is also ambiguity in what criteria they use when rating them. 30C? Sure, I'll buy that. But at what pack temperature? How much voltage drop? For how long before the pack is allowed to rest? At what duty cycle?

And for those who think IR might be a good indicator; be aware that the IR at 1C is different than at 10C, and again different at 50C. IR is not just a fixed resistance, but is a value comprised of actual cell conductor resistance (which is pretty constant) coupled with how much the chemical reaction can support higher discharge rates (which is not constant).
