Another small update:

Since I got my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, I've been wanting to watch movies from the media server on it. But I can't seem to find an android media player that will play the ISO files directly without some issue. The Daroon Player does play ISOs over wifi, but there is a delay between the video and audio. It's like watching an old Godzilla movie!

So if anyone knows of a android media player app (my tab is not rooted and is running android 4.0.4 ice cream sandwich) that will play ISOs natively, let me know.

In the meantime, I used handbrake to convert some of my favorite movies to MP4, put them in a different shared folder, and play them over wi-fi. But this means I have duplicate files (even though the MP4 files are about 1/4 the size of the raw ISOs) and requires yet more storage space. I'm literally filling up 7TB pretty quickly. But this also allows my wife's Kindle Fire to play them too, so it's not a total waste. I will say the kids are getting spoiled though. The other day, my 4 year old was using the Kindle Fire in my wife's car and complained she couldn't find any movies (my wi-fi doesn't reach several miles, lol). I tried to explain about network scope, but I think she's still too young to get it - heck, even my 11 year-old stepson doesn't seem to get it!
