i'm sure you thought of this, and it's too late now - but can you lock the rear shock on that Giant? i have a full-suspension Trek, and i can lock both shocks. i just thought that the pull you're noticing is the suspension possibly compressing under load, which then possibly twists the rear end. just an afterthought.
that Fuji setup is bad ass!
