@A RC Dude: It's so much fun to convert a bicycle to electric! This is my second one and I really love it. What you're doing is even more interesting IMO; building your own speed controller. Awesome! Years ago BrianG once posted a self-made brushed controller on this forum. It's something I still want to do in the future. Good luck with your bike!
haha thanks, once you learn how, a brushed ESC is actually really easy, it's just getting all your ratings and resistor values correct and putting it into a neat package lol

I really wish making a brushless ESC was easier lol that would truly be awesome! But my friend and I actually had the ESC working on some 12v gear motors on a robot chassis but we haven't been able to scale it up far enough yet to run the big clunky motor on the bike yet.
