Tamiya Zahhak DN-01 2wd Buggy - 07.25.2017, 07:33 PM

So my Tamiya fetish continues...

I was browsing the Tamiya USA website and came across this kit. It is the DBN-01 chassis, basically a buget level version of the TRF201 race buggy.

It does come with a complete bearing kit, and the plastic body oil filled shocks. Ball diff as well, and decent steel turnbuckles. So well equipped, and there are plenty of hopup options, from Tamiya and other mfgs.

I paid 110 shipped, which I feel is a great deal for a buggy of this level. After adding comparable radio gear, motor, esc and servo I would have likely spent more than I would on a RTR Traxxas Bandit XL5, but this buggy is much more race oriented than the Traxxas basher. Now I doubt I will race it, but I like Tamiya kits, and I like using my own radio gear and motor, etc. For a RTR basher, the Bandit is very hard to beat, about 190 shipped, and that includes everything yo need to get going, including the batteries. I have always been a fan of the Bandit/Rustler/Slash/Stampede, great value setups, and some of the most fun you can have with rc.

Enough of that malarkey, here are some pics.
