yeah, a BEC would work, assuming you are talking about an external BEC, in fact, the UBEC was initially meant for plane/helicopter use.

Some motors are outrunners, (meaning that the outside of the motor rotates and the inside is fixed onto something)

but in general, yes, you can use helicopter motors on cars/trucks.
