then came major snag # 1! DOH!!!!
the original plan to use plastic batt holders didn't work out as the bent frame rails of the chassis were in the way so i could not slide the batt in or out of the batt holder^&$^%&^($%#%$*.......
so after looking around for ideas...i saw the batt retaining system that CRC uses on their 1/12 pan cars......O-rings!!!!
so chucked some 8mm alu rod in the lathe and ..
tadah!!!
not the pettiest but it works...:o
