Yep, all 1/10 motors have a 1/8" shaft.

Has anyone noticed how high they seem to rate these motors?

The 5700 version is designed for 3S lipo - thats pushing 60K rpm with a fully charged pack!

Novak, LRP, Hacker, Lehner, everybody is going to have to work very hard to sell anything at all if this system is as good is it sounds like it will be.

Castle have acquired total domination inthe 18th scale market, looks like they're going for the 10th and eventually 8th scale markets too!

Hopefully it will bring in some more competition with a price drop from Lehner to make the Basic series compete with the Feigao and now Castle motors a bit better
These motors are rated to 65,000 RPM, so 3s isn't a problem for the 5700 (except for the extra heat of inefficiency).

The only reason why these systems won't sell to some is because they aren't (yet) ROAR legal. If a track allows them to be run, then that's good! I don't see a reason why a track should allow these to be run, especially since they're cheaper than the Novak/LRP systems (new).

I doubt that the prices on the Lehners will be lowered, except maybe by retailers so that they can get rid of them and make more room for the Mamba Max!

As for the Dark Impact, if you want a link to a place that sells front universals, aluminum (adjustable) turnbuckles, and some other parts let me know. I just got the universals for the front and the turnbuckle set. Also, there's a guy in England who is making a slipper clutch shaft for the Dark Impact that allows you to use B4 slipper clutch parts and B4 spur gears. It's nice because these gears are standard 48p, unlike the stock Dark Impact gears.
