Yes, i am using the ubec. Pulled the red wire too. I have a 9920, and i know many have had probs with them as well. But mine runs great! I have never had an issue unless I over geared it, say like putting a 20T pinion on there, But with the 18T, my controller doesn't get hot, motor runs a tad warm but that's it, runs great! And i have beat the piss out of it!
