OCEAN BEACH has alot of sand with good drifts running up the bluffs. It also has great surfing in fall & winter. I have been running paddles in rear, stock chevron in front. It is a fun place to run. Paddles in front just throws sand even more into the truck. I cover the pinion area w/ electrical tape with only the 8xl 5mm post coming out. it works
keeping sand out. Rear bearing I cover tape also. It climbs well. I think My cvd
UE 6mm were so dry they were binding pretty good, and created a really sticky drive train. I have fixed that. I also got HOT BODDIES savage bootie covers now. I believe I can put grease in there now & no dirt can get in.
On pavement this thing flies w all temps good.
But a 9 or 10 xl would do what for me. In sand I need not so much speed but torque. Longer run time would be good. The Apachee 5s 2 in parallel give me 20 minutes of real of hard running. I usually try to be safe as these batteries cost a bundle.,
