Sometimes yes. But sometimes, the people who take the most precautions have a higher standard of quality and aesthetics (perfectionists). So, a "problem" to the first individual might not even be noticeable to the other.

I've taken what I believe to be the necessary precautions in all of my conversions (3) and have never had any kind of interference problems, even with the stock Traxxas AM system. Would there have been problems had I not? Who knows? I'm not about to get sloppy to find out.

BTW: I'm gonna have to start talking dumb so people stop calling me Brain! :031: :003:

Neweuser: the UBEC is just a PWM regulator, so it will generate some noise. The manufacturer says they have taken pains to shield noisy components to minimize any potential problems, but if you are mounting it right next to the receiver, there is a chance for interference or limited range. Servos usually are not affected because the signal frequency (50Hz-60Hz) is MUCH lower than the UBEC switching frequency (~5kHz-20kHz).
