You can use up to 16 cells on the Quark125, but f you are using more than 8 cells you need to disable the internal BEC by unpluging the red center wire on the plug that goes to the Rx. Theinternal BEC is only designed to take 8 cells max. The rest of the esc can handle 16 cells.
You should use an external BEC anyway. It takes the load off of the ESC and helps keep it cool.

Yes, all of theose motors are the same. I like the Feigao with the heat sink fins built right into the can.
