Well Mr Palmer himself said it'll do it as long as I don't push the gearing too far, causing it to overheat. With limited warranty in my RC10GT stadium, but no warranty in the Savage.

Long term, 4s/14cell use I know will grow in popularity, and eventually we'll spec the system to be under warranty with it officially, but not until we see two things:
#1 - folks like you (and a lot of others here on the forum) that know what you're doing, use it that way long term without difficulties, and
#2 - The general knowlege base come up a bit more within the hobby regarding high power brushless and it's optimal applications.

So yes I will eventually give 16 cells a go, if it works okay on 12/14. If it blows up I'll post a pic :D :)
