I'm not so sure. On paper, and real world circumstances are different. I think an L would be ok for a 7lb truck, like my E-Maxx use to be, but an XL would benefit even more because of more torque, higher gearing because of more torque, runs cooler, etc. I guess its a matter of opinion sometimes, though...
