What I do when there's a price on something that looks too good to be true, is check out the prices on some other products that I do know the price of. If those prices are about the same as everywhere else, then you can suspect the really low priced item as being inferior. If all prices are comparatively low, then maybe the low priced item may be OK. On the other hand, prices aren't everything; customer service, warranty/return policy are important too.
