Since Spektrum uses 2.4GHz, the antenna can be quite short. As a matter of fact, Spektrum says you can cut the antenna (to a precise value) without appreciable loss. In my Revo, I have the antenna base mounted to one of the stock brake "caliper" holes and the mast doesn't even exceed the top of the stock rollbar. Range is about as far as I can effectively drive it (500-600 ft at a guess).

I'll have to check those out. Should I look at purchasing an entire system, or does that reciever work well with the stocker transmitters.
