I'd say the efficiency of the setup is pretty good. Like I said, 3300s give me about 25 minutes of pretty hardcore running. With the bigger batteries out there, obviously there's even more runtime availible. Once you get into LiPo batteries, it's easy to get a battery in the range of 6000 mAh, and corresponding longer runtimes. I'd guess something like that would give you runtimes close to an hour. If you were racing, basically 1 charge on a 6000 mAh would take care of you for a full day.
You can get longer runtimes by reducing the timing on the motor, at the expense of reducing performance. I haven't tried this with the 3S, but after seeing how easily it flips on its lid, I don't think a performance hit would hurt me all that much!
Another thing that I've noticed with mambas is that the better quality batteries you put on them, the cooler they seem to run. Also, setting the start power to "High" reduces temps. From the small bit of testing I've done, mine runs cooler with an Apogee 3S LiPo than with an 8 cell Elite pack. No, that doesn't really make sense to me either, but I ain't arguing! It's also possible that I didn't run the B4 hard enough when I had the 3S in there, so I may change my tune later after I've done more testing. It's going to rain most of the weekend, so kinda looks like I'm shut down though.
