20 cells are fine with the wanderer 20XL/8 winds and you can use the 9920 controller on this motor with 20 cells.

If you are planning on using a max rpm of about 35-40k, and plannin on using more than 20 cells, I would take the 36120 over the 3695, those last 45 dollars are worth the extra 25 amps imo.
